As is our annual tradition, Fresno County Public Library will hold its Annual Library Meeting soon. It's right around the corner and that means any and all information about the Annual Library Meeting (ALM)will be coming soon so keep an eye out on this blog. If you are searching for any ALM information on this blog, just look for the ALM tag and it will list all ALM entries.
Without further ado, here is this year's theme and some information tidbits regarding this year's ALM, which is happening Monday, October 12, 2009.
Theme: Surviving and Thriving!
The Fresno County library and library staff are experiencing a number of opportunities and challenges in these difficult economic times. The library is changing to address these challenges. Organizational and individual stress comes with change and the challenge of the economic downturn. Change also provides the opportunity to introduce creative changes and thrive! Most importantly, we welcome the increased use of the library.
The 2009 Annual Meeting will include workshops on:
Updates on changes that have been made
New library grants awarded for 2009/2010
Stress relief workshops
Practical ways to get through difficult financial times
If you have any questions, please put them in the comments area and myself or the ALM committee will be happy to answer them.
